The extant paper has been compiled with the objective of “investigating the relationship between organizational culture and application of knowledge management processes from the viewpoint of Education Dept employees”. This study with respect to the objective is an applied survey and the data has been collected by descriptive-correlative methods. The data has been collected by means of organizational cultural profilequestionnaire of Sarros et al (2002) with Cronbach’s alpha coefficient equal to 0.93 and knowledge management questionnaire of Lawson (2003) with reliability of 0.94. The population of this study consists of all education dept employees of Ahvaz (Iran) and the sample size according to Morgan table equaled 175 persons. To analyze the data, descriptive indices including mean value, standard deviation, frequency and inferential statistics, Pearson’s coefficient of correlation, simultaneous regression and t test were used. The results obtained from data analysis indicated a positive and significant association between seven factors of organizational culture and knowledge management (r=0.82, p<0.01). Also, the summary of simultaneous regression analysis indicated that the variable organizational culture is an appropriate predictor for knowledge management meaning that upon simultaneous intervening of all organizational culture factors, about 71% of variations related to knowledge management implementationare predictable. Therefore, considering the importance of organizational culture in the knowledge management processes, the education officials should provide the grounds for more effective application of knowledge in an appropriate organizational culture bed.
